Equipment Matt Garrett typically uses a Mackie Vision PA151 mains over top of the matching Mackie 18" Vision sub, which are powered with a pair of Crown XTI amps. Matt's preffered mixer is the 32 channel Allen & Heath GL2200. The musicians get to hear themselves in a set of Yamaha Club 12" and/or 15" wedges with Crown XTi4000 power. The preformers are also lit up with LEDs from Chauvet.

Started out his career in Live Sound as the front man of a popular local band called Anomaly.

In Late 2007, Matt began to build his PA system with the assistance from Matt Viv and Justin Myles.

In October 2008, Meerkat Sound was formed with the long time friends Matt Garrett and Justin Myles.
